Vancouver Police reported that on January 04, 2019, officers attended a residence following a call regarding a disturbance between two males. One male was arrested for breach of the peace. It was reported that as the male was being taken away, he tried to evade officers and a foot pursuit ensued. During the process of his apprehension, there was reported contact with a fence post by the male.

On route to cells, the male complained of chest pains. Emergency Health Services was requested, and the male was transported to hospital.
