The IIO aims to achieve investigative excellence and transparent reporting of serious police incidents for British Columbians by providing basic information and outcomes of IIO investigations. For more information regarding what the possible outcomes of an investigation are and definitions of each case status, please visit our FAQ page.

If the IIO receives a notification of an incident that does not fall within the IIO’s mandate, it is recorded as an advice file and no investigative steps are undertaken. Advice files are not included below. The publish date field is only available when a public report has been issued.
