Surrey, B.C. — The Independent Investigations Office of BC (IIO) is investigating an incident in Kelowna where one man died.

Information provided by the Kelowna RCMP states that at about 10:02 a.m. on January 10, 2024, an officer responded to a well being check made by a third party at a residential address in the 1900 block of Enterprise Way.

The officer was not able to make contact with the subject of the well being check.

Later that morning, one man was found deceased inside the same residence of what appear to be natural causes.

The IIO was notified on Feb. 2 and has now commenced an initial investigation.
