Surrey, B.C. — The Independent Investigations Office of BC (IIO) is seeking witnesses to an arrest in North Vancouver where one man sustained an injury.

Information provided by the RCMP states that at about 9:30 p.m. on December 28, 2024, police were called to assist in discharging a man from the Lions Gate Hospital. Shortly thereafter, the man was reportedly observed urinating on the North Vancouver RCMP detachment building located across the street from the hospital.

The man was arrested and taken back to the nearby hospital where he was found to have sustained an injury.
