IIO Seeks Witnesses to Incident in Saanich

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, May 12, a Central Saanich Police officer observed a vehicle travelling southbound on West Saanich Road.  According to the IIO notification made by police, the officer made a U-turn with the intent of conducting a traffic stop.  Shortly thereafter, the officer located the vehicle off road in the 5300 block of West Saanich Road.  The driver of the vehicle, a male adult (affected person), sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
