Surrey, B.C. – On October 20, 2020, the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC will release the outcome of the investigation into the officer-involved shooting death of a man in Lytton on January 13, 2020.
The Chief Civilian Director will be speaking to the media to answer questions regarding the investigation at the IIO office on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.

We request that each outlet send as few people as possible and all attendees are requested to wear masks in accordance with Provincial Health Guidelines.
Further information regarding the outcome of the investigation will be released on the IIO website tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m.
The IIO is the independent civilian oversight agency of the police in British Columbia. It investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
