NEW INVESTIGATIONS:
2014.000174 – Vancouver Police Department
On October 7, an adult male sustained serious injuries to his leg while he was allegedly in the process of fleeing from police officers. The affected person was hospitalized for treatment and the incident was reported to the IIO.
2014.000176 – Terrace RCMP
On October 8, the Terrace RCMP contacted the IIO to report an incident that took place in May 2014. The IIO has sustained jurisdiction in this matter and its investigation is ongoing.
The IIO is asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have information pertaining to the incident to contact IIO investigators through the IIO witness line at 1-855-446-8477.

SPECIAL COMMITTEE REVIEW:
The Special Committee to Review the Independent Investigations Office has extended its deadline for written submissions on the IIO’s administration and general operations. The new deadline for written submissions is Friday, October 31, 2014.
