Surrey – The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. has deployed investigators to a Motor Vehicle Incident in Chilliwack.

Initial information provided to the IIO by the RCMP suggests that at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday March 30 2018, an elderly woman was crossing the road near the 5800 block of Tyson Road. The woman was struck by a police vehicle and sustained injuries. She was taken to hospital where she remains.

IIO investigators were deployed and are investigating as it appears the female’s injuries are serious harm. Any potential witnesses of this incident are asked to call the IIO at 1-855-446-8477.
