IIO investigation into officer-involved death concluded

SURREY – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) investigation into a recent officer-involved death in Vancouver has concluded. A 51-year old man became unresponsive while in the custody of the Vancouver Police Department on Oct. 7, 2012, and died shortly thereafter.
Chief Civilian Director Richard Rosenthal will release his findings via Public Report on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Mr. Rosenthal will be available to media personnel at the time and location below.
