IIO Investigation into Prince George Officer-involved Shooting Concluded

SURREY – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) investigation into the Sept. 10, 2012 fatal shooting of Gregory Matters involving the RCMP has been concluded.

Chief Civilian Director Richard Rosenthal will release his public report into this incident on the morning of Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Richard Evans, Director of Operations for the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP, will also be present to discuss the commission’s involvement in this matter.

Mr. Rosenthal and Mr. Evans will be available to media personnel at the time and location below.
