Surrey, B.C. – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC is investigating an incident in Prince George.
On January 18, 2021, police responded to a residence in the 3700-block of Lansdowne Road following a 911 call. When police arrived at the home, an altercation reportedly occurred, and a man and woman both sustained injuries.
The IIO was advised of the incident on April 1, 2021 and has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Background
The IIO is the independent civilian oversight agency of the police in British Columbia. It investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
