Surrey, B.C. — The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC is investigating a November 5 incident in Revelstoke that resulted in serious injuries to two people. The IIO was notified the same day.
Information provided by the Revelstoke RCMP states that at around 4:34 p.m., an off-duty RCMP member was involved in a collision with a male and female pedestrian on 4th Street near Campbell Avenue.
Both Affected Persons were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Initial investigative steps will seek to confirm the details of the collision, including what transpired leading up to it, and the extent of the injuries to both Affected Persons.

The IIO is the Independent civilian oversight agency of the police in British Columbia. It investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
