Surrey, B.C. – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC is investigating the serious injury of one man in Tsay Keh Dene.
Information provided by the RCMP states that at about 5:45 p.m. on September 13, 2022, officers responded to a call regarding a disturbance at a residence.
It is reported that upon arrival, officers noted a locked bedroom door with a man inside who did not come out when asked. When the officers entered the room, it is reported that the man had sustained a serious injury which appears to have been self-inflicted.
The IIO was notified of the incident shortly after it occurred and has commenced an investigation.
