SURREY – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) investigations into three officer-involved incidents have concluded:
• Investigation into the death of an adult male involving a motor vehicle incident and the RCMP on Dec. 27, 2012.
• Investigation into the Dec. 21, 2012, death of an adult male involving a fatal self-inflicted gunshot injury and the RCMP.
• Investigation into the Nov. 13, 2012, death of an adult male involving a fatal self-inflicted injury and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
Chief Civilian Director Richard Rosenthal will release his findings via Public Reports into these three incidents on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013. Mr. Rosenthal will be available to media personnel at the time and location below.
