Surrey – The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is seeking witnesses to a police incident in Abbotsford on September 29, 2018.
The incident took place in Gardener Park, Abbotsford, at approximately 10:00 a.m. A male suffered a serious injury as a result of a police service dog bite.
The IIO is asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the IIO witness line at 1-855-446-8477.
Background
The IIO is the independent civilian oversight agency of the police in British Columbia. It investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
