Deployments
On July 15, 2013, Vancouver Police in response to a complaint, came into contact with an adult male. Shortly thereafter, the male fell from a fence and sustained a serious injury to his leg. The IIO was notified and deployed investigative staff to the scene.
On July 14, 2013, North Vancouver RCMP responding to a complaint arrested an adult male and took him into custody. A subsequent medical assessment confirmed the male had sustained a serious shoulder injury. The IIO asserted jurisdiction on July 18, 2013.
