New Investigations

On July 14, 2013,  North Vancouver RCMP responded to a complaint and arrested an adult male.  The affected person was subsequently taken to hospital where it was determined that he sustained a serious injury to his shoulder.  The IIO was notified on July 15 and deployed resources on July 18.

On July 26, 2013, Vancouver Police Department responded to a complaint and arrested an adult male.  During the arrest, the male sustained serious head injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.  The IIO was notified immediately and deployed resources on July 27, 2013.

In both cases, the involved police service remains responsible for the concurrent investigation related to the actions of the affected persons.
