Surrey – The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is seeking witnesses to a motor vehicle incident involving the Vancouver Police Department.
According to VPD, at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday June 29, 2018, a collision occurred between two police vehicles at the intersection of Smithe Street and Howe Street.
The IIO is asking anyone who saw, heard or may have video footage or photographs of the incident to contact the IIO witness line at 1-855-446-8477.

Background
The IIO is the independent civilian oversight agency of the police in British Columbia. It investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing.
