IIO is Seeking Witnesses to Vancouver Arrest Resulting in Injuries (2025-091)

Information from the Vancouver Police Department states that around 2:00 a.m. today (April 10), officers were responding to a disturbance call inside a Tim Hortons on Davie Street at Howe Street.
After they got there, police attempted to arrest a man, who suffered an injury in the process.
The man was taken to the hospital where the injury was confirmed, and he was given treatment.
The IIO was notified the same day and is investigating.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who was inside the Tim Hortons at around 2:00 a.m., or who saw the interaction between the man and police.
