IIO seeks witnesses to police-involved incident in North Vancouver

SURREY – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) is seeking witnesses to a police-involved incident in North Vancouver.

On the afternoon of December 13, 2012, North Vancouver RCMP became engaged with an adult male during the course of an investigation.  The man fled and was ultimately located by a police dog in the 1400 block of Chesterfield Avenue.  The man sustained serious injuries related to a dog bite.  The matter was immediately reported to the IIO and an investigation was initiated.
